Park Aides

What’s the best way to learn what working in a park is all about? Become a Park Aide!

Park Aides are seasonal employees (no more than 1040 hours) who work alongside other park staff to provide recreational opportunities to the community and protect our county’s environmental resources. Common duties include facility maintenance, custodial work, basic carpentry, gardening, trail maintenance, building and grounds maintenance, record keeping, interpretation, interacting with park visitors and gatehouse cashiering.

While it’s helpful to be familiar with the tools used in these jobs, on-job training can be provided; the most important quality you can bring is the desire to serve the public and learn new skills. This is an excellent opportunity to gain park experience and start a career.
